OMAR CRUZ/BLUNTS LLA IS HE THE ONE?
« on: January 12, 2006, 11:23:23 PM »
OMAR CRUZ/BLUNTS LLA his name is all over from Latin hiphop sites to sites like dubcnn so he definetly is getting his buzz all over he put out 2 hot mixtapes "CITY OF GODS" & "BLOW" but do you guys think that he will get the chance to actually get heard like on a major level. He should get his chance and I think he will hold it down for Latinos and for the west coast. SO WHAT YOULL THINK?

blunts is fuckin dope.. or o.cruz rather. blow been bumpin in my shit since the day it came out. i hope he makes it, but doesnt sell out like a bitch like so often happens these days. gotta stay tru. im wonderin if BWS is in any talks wit him cus they already holdin down queenie, so they mite be lookin for more latino artists. i hope hes not signed to any label branched from interscope tho (BWS doesnt really count), cus all those (aftermath, gunit, etc) turn their artists into mainstream slaves and often flipfloppy fakes. much respect blunts!!

O Dot Cruz certainly has some potential to make a name for himself in the rap game. His lyrics are on point, the BYI in-house producers match his Latino style AND Interscope/Geffen is backing him. Those are nothing but positive aspects.

As Dubz said, I just hope that his album will be tight. Because it has indeed happened so many times before that an artist's mixtapes are banging, but that his album's a major disappointment (due to filler tracks, poppy tracks that had to be made under pressure of the label, etc...).

And he's repping L.A. in a lot of his songs, so that's a good thing as well 8)
