I got love for Snoop, but dude contradicted himself a grip in that interview. First of all, he's hatin' on Crooked signing to Death Row saying he turned his back on Long Beach or whatever. But Kurupt signed a SECOND time with Death Row back in 2001, but all is forgiven with Kurupt, so why not Crooked? Secondly, he's trying to say Crooked's not from Long Beach when Snoop wasn't even born in California, dude's from Mississippi, and Crooked stays off in the hood in Long Beach while Snoop's in his mansion in the suburbs. Then Snoop said he doesn't want to beef, and all he wants is unity, then why did he even bother talking shit about Crooked in the first place?

Fuck it, though, I'm glad Crooked got a chance to tell his side of the whole thing, and I'm looking forward to The Blue Carpet Treatment and B.O.S.S.; it's a big year for West Coast.

I enjoy everyone's post. This is actually not a bad forum because everyone speaks with some kind of intelligence.

However, i think we are taking this topic a little too far.

1. Snoop is the king of the west coast.  That doesn't mean he is the best mc on the west coast. I can think of at least 20 mcs that would eat him up. However, networking, marketing and fan base, snoop is better than any mc on the west coast. Ice Cube comes in at a very close second.

2. It's obvious that there is still some tension between Snoop and Crooked. Who knows if it is because of the death row situation or b/c Crooked I is getting props on Snoop's own turf (or both) or something that happened that they aint mentioning in the interviews.. Who knows.

3. Washed up rappers? Wha? If MC Eiht is washed up, then so is E-40.. Look what lil jon did to 40, so why cant snoop help out eiht? If we want to be technical, then crooked i is even more washed up.. 9 years in tha game with no album..

All I gotta say about this is this....

IMO, I think Snoop is great for the West Coast and all and I think it's good that he's trying to unify the coast (much props to him for that), but I think Crooked I was on point for this interview.

Crooked I's reaction and statements couldn't have been done any better. He was real about the situation and he handled it like a man. I agree with Crooked 100 % on everything he said and the way he reacted to Snoops comments.

I hope that Snoop can walk the walk and not just talk the talk in terms of getting the west unified a lot better. I also hope that whatever happens, that they eventually sit down like grown men and squash whatever it is that they have towards each other and have them either go their own ways without anyone getting hurt (if they disagree) or do something really big for the coast (if they agree).

Above all, I love both artists and I hope it works out, because that'll just prove the very definition of the unification that Snoop is trying to do.
