I hope he does well with this album, but the reality is no one is checc'n for Daz...No matter if he's on a major or going the indie route, Daz has more of a local fan base then anything....I doubt is going to get the numbers he's expecting....The single is str8 even though it features Ric Ross , but even with JD bacc'n Daz I don't see him being anymore popular then he already is

Daz isn't going to blow up. Nobody really cares about him anymore. E-40 had 2 popular singles and he might not even go gold, Mack 10 had a banger single for his last album and flopped, Tha Dogg Pound had Snoop Dogg to there name and flopped. Not even JD can ressurect Daz.

The reason people make so many threads about it is because too many people are still living in the past, and expecting DPG to push a million plus every time they drop. As far as calling Daz & Kurupt "the defintion of pure wackness," that all comes down to personal taste. While CIA was garbage, Kurupt's solo was dope, and most of Daz's leaked songs have been nice as well. If they were really that whack, they wouldn't have an outlet to release music anymore. Jermaine Dupri has a good business mind, and he wouldn't have signed Daz if he was the "defintion of wackness."

I don't think that Daz should even be expected to go platinum, like dude said, 40 had 2 big time singles and might not even go gold. If Daz even sells 70K-100K, it would be a huge success for him, as he usually only sells about 30-50K on his indi releases. He will most likely make less money of the So So Def deal, but it will undoubtledly open up more doors for him, and when he does return to the indie game, he'll have some new fans, and still be able to sell consistently for more years to come.
