Snoops flow...
« on: August 17, 2006, 08:51:29 PM »
Maybe it's just me but I much prefer his tighter flow than his more relaxed flow. I mean his stuff with Dre was always tight, his track Vato he's got a tight flow, always on beat. He still gives off the laid back vibe but when his lyrics dont sit on beat it sounds like he just doesn't care about what he's saying.

Yeah Snoop can still bust, but for the most part it is how he raps as opposed to what he says. When his flow is on point, few rappers can fuck with him.

Snoop has always done it both ways, though.  Listen to "Gin and Juice".  It's the relaxed laid back flow that he does on most of his songs now... just the lyrics were tighter.  Even the "I had to back up off it and sit my cup downnnnn" or whatever he's singsonging like he does everything now.  Also if you listen to Snoops' verse on "Doggy Dogg World" is all laid back and relaxed.  People talk shit about his flow but it has never changed, he's still exactly the same as he's always been , flow-wise, on the mic.

His best ever flow was the stone cold shit he did on deep cover, dre day, and "bitches ain't shit".  He does it a little bit on "Vato".  I still say his flow on "Bitches ain't shit" was only surpassed by Biggie Smalls, Snoop was incredible back then.  He still brings it like that from time to time if he wants to.

Right, SNoop's flow hasn't changed ::)   His shit on Gin and Juice and Doggy DOgg World may have been laidback, but it wasn't boring and lacking of effort.  Big difference between that shit and his slow flow now............

Like someone said previously, Snoop is all about flow.  When he's on point (Ready To Ride, Henn and Buddha) he's incredible, when he's off(most of the time on guest appearances and usually his R&B tracks), he is fucking wack.
