serius killed him but serius basically talked his rhymes real slow compared to jin. also the crowd was often ohhing and ahhing at the setup lines. he had major crowd support which helped him look better.

^ It's hip hop kid, Serius won cuz he had hot punchlines and Jin didn't. Punchlines are key to freestyling. It ain't cuz the place was filled wit blacks. Come on now.

read what I said, I never denied he had funny lines but it's an undeniable fact that most of it was all based on jin being from china and jin couldn't come back at that by clowning blacks cause everybody in that bitch was black.

also, in jin's words, "his rhymes don't work on a beat"

i was wondering, in a battle, where do african americans stand in terms of the racism factor, if whites and asians can be attacked with racist battle raps...can it be used in return from whites and asians?

Anything goes in a battle, but whatever you say shows how much of a person you are.

Exactly!!!!
Get Jin and Jones on a track and Jones couldnt fucc with Jin. But in battles it doesnt matter that serius basically "talked" he clowned Jin way more, there were some Asian Jokes in there, but they were on point. And he said other shit that shut Jin down, Jin had a tight few punchlines, but it didnt seem to be directed at Jones, it was just like talking to anyone, where was Jones clowned JIN bad and thats that battling is about....

80% of the stuff you consider "directed at jin" was really directed to any chinese rapper. That way people were thinkin (as you are) his shit was alot more on point cause jin had more general shit, but as a matter of fact both didn't know too much about each other and therefore couldn't come up with enough personal stuff to go 3 rounds, only jones took the china dissing as a "personal" whereas jin couldn't do the same (dissing blacks).

Didn't Jones mention shit about his Ruff Ryders deal, sort of a cheap shot, but nice.

Neither of them new each other well but Jin being Asian set Jones off to be more personal wit the shit. Jones dissed Jin about his race and Jin dissed Jones about his appearance as well but it just wasn't his race. All them people in that room are there to see one thing and that's a battle. You gotta come back wit some shots on his appearance, wat he's rockin, how he's dressed etc. You don't have to know them personally becuz if they do, shit could sound pre written but its better imo if dudes don't know each other becuz shit would just go back and forth. Jones attacked his culture becuz he know he'd get alotta laughs and he was a minority in that room, yes, but it's not like Jin couldn't diss him bout his race he just didn't have the balls which I guess is understandable. When it all comes down to it though Jones simply won cuz he had the punches whether they were personal OR general.

the fact that it takes balls to do it alone should tell you that he couldn't have won dissing blacks, they the ones who decide who wins.
take away the racial part and the battle woulda been completely different. the outcome of a battle shouldn't depend on the race.

Excatly and it wasn't. Jin didn't come off hard enogh, Jones did wit the punches period. It just so happens most of his powerful hits were race related. Jones won and I agree he should have.

that's where I strongly disagree, it didn't just so happen, Jin was handicapped by the fact that his opponent kept gettin at him with shit that he couldn't come back at without insulting the same people that decide who wins. Jones knew that. I don't see that as a fair situation but whatever

I think he quit makin records, now he just tries to make money battling the battle vs Jones was for 10 g's

yeah but he had his revenge, one other emcee defeated serious jones and jin killed that other mc. Then he asked jones for a revenge for 50 000$ and he decline the offer

yeah serious lost to proffesor green who is from the uk, jin then beat prof green and called out serious for a rematch. Serious declined, some claim he was told and decided not to come back to the stage others say he had already left the building. Jin also challenged him again and he declined the challenge.

You can watch the battles on Youtube, just do search for Jin and Serius Jones, there are 3 rounds.

To me the Jin did have a major disadvantage, because the crowd responded really well to the racial jokes about Jin, which Jin could not say the same thing back, else he knew he would got the beat down.

But this probably a common problem Jin must suffer about people attacking his race, i would have imagined Jin would be more prepared against these racial jokes, and could of used it to his advantage knowing people would attck his race?!?!

Even the one of the judge who is "Miss Info" (asian) said Serius Jones was at a low point using racial jokes, but admitted that on the third round tiebreaker Seriius Jones did take the title, when he did not use racial attacks.

For me personally Serius Jones did have an advantage of having somethign to work with (history of Jin), where  as Jin did'nt know anything about Serius Jones.  This attacking of Jin's history (e.g. Ruff Ryders) was responded well by the crowd, but Jin didn't have anythign to work on.  and people love that when you attack someone personally thats related to them instead of made up stuff.

Jin knew he lost as well on the last around, he mentioned it in his lyrics.  based on the last round, the tiebreaker, i would say Serius Jones is the winner, but I tunderstadn the reasons why, maybe it was just one of those days for jin.
