So how come no topics on "Firewater" by the Liks??
« on: February 17, 2006, 04:29:49 AM »
It dropped 2 or so weeks back and i don't think i've seen anyone mention it.

Don't no one like it?

I thought it was good (could have been better)  and a nice way for them to retire.

I can't wait for the solo's to drop

I thought it was decent.  Nothing like their past albums but a nice showing.  Like you said, could have been better.  Tash has a great flow, can't wait for a solo from him.

shit where is they promotion at???  I didnt know it was out till my man told me the other day

why dont these dudes do more conventional marketing & promo???  Video interviews with all the hot internet sites

Street videos that are cost effective...

its not just the hunger they lost to rap but they have lost the hunger to be successful or succeed

Niggaz gotta work extra hard cuz the west is on the under so you gotta gothe extra length to get ya name out there... fuck that u been around for eon's... the niggaz that bought their first album "21 & Over" wont buy this one cuz they are now adults..

the demographic is younger and they have to be approached as if the Lik's are a brand new group
I think dudes think they will get extra love cuz they not a new group and its just the opposite...

just my opinion tho!

Damn....sorry to up this, but I had no idea they had a CD out. I remember The Flute Song being in rotation, but I never heard about the album. I was just going through a CD website, and I was gonna try to see if they had some old Liks songs, and I see "Firewater - 2006" and I was like damn....I know I wasn't on Dubcc much this summer, but I would have at least heard about this!

I might get it, and I'll comment on how it is if I do.

Firewater has been out since January of this year. It was on Koch, who is notorious for not promoting so it's falls on the artist. The album is good but I agree it could have been better.

Shiet if everyone else is like me, they had no idea it dropped. Maybe they should tell their fans that their new album is out?

That interview was good, you conducted that over here right? I remember Tash wasn't present.

The album was decent, some nice tracks like Hangover and Do It, nothing groundbreaking, but still worth picking up.
