with lebron the thing is this:

he's one of the most athletic persons that ever walked on earth
he's strong and tall as fuck
he's STILL - despite the 2nd point - a GREAT ball handler, a great assist man, great court vision
he ain't got no attitude problem - he's willing to work hard, he's a nice guy too

BUT

he ain't got the best touch, well, he ain't a great shooter
he's never been coached about how to play elite D
he's too introverted to have a KILLER sense, to KILL opponents, to take clutch shots, to do 360 dunks etc.

BUT

love him or hate him, he's better at 21 than Jordan and Bryant ... were back then.
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

Stone Cold is Bout It, Bout It

I don't really think so...Kobe was already winning championships, getting amazing numbers, while deferring to Shaq as a second option at 21...I mean, it's debatable, but I don't really think LeBron was "better", I just think the situation he was placed in gave him the chance to develop quicker, not better, but since he was the 1st option right off the bat, it was quicker...I honestly think Cleveland would be contenders right now if they coulda' drafted an 18 year old Kobe instead of James in 2003..PeACe

A great player cannot win a championship on their own!

LeBron James at 22:
# NBA All-Star: 2005, 2006
# NBA All-Star Game MVP: 2006
# All-NBA First Team: 2006
# All-NBA Second Team: 2005
# NBA All-Rookie First Team: 2004
# NBA Rookie of the Year: 2004

Kobe Bryant at 22:
# NBA Champion: 2000
# NBA All-Star Game: 1998, 1999*, 2000 (*No All-Star game in 1999 due to league-wide lock-out)
# All-NBA Second Team: 2000
# All-NBA Third Team: 1999
# All-NBA Defensive First Team: 2000
# NBA All-Rookie Second Team: 1997
# NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Champion: 1997

P.S. To became a leader and a great player in a team with Shaq being the boss and with the NBA title as the main target is 10x harder than to do it in Cleveland. LeBron should have move to a better team to really prove himself and to really start playing the real hot games like Lakers-Kings, Lakers-Spurs, Lakers-Pistons... games he has never played.

Dun think the game's live, but nonetheless, Spain's rippin' shit up so far.

::)@ all the Kobe/other player comparisons

LeBron James at 22:

# NBA All-Star Game MVP: 2006
# All-NBA First Team: 2006
# All-NBA Second Team: 2005

# NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Champion: 1997

Kobe has by far accomplished more, they are both talented mofos.

From these stats, I dunno, they seem pretty even there (minus the championship), Cavs & the 2000 Lakers.....no comparison, Kobe didn't do it by himself though.

Just like LeBron didn't reach the Play Offs by himself in his first 2 years. The thing you guys should understand is that to have the keys of a franchise and to be the most publicized and loved player EVER (after MJ) BEFORE joining the NBA is T-O-T-A-L-L-Y different that what Kobe did. Kobe was a 17 years old kid in a league where they didn't like yet guys who jumped from college to the NBA (without going to Uni). Veterans didn't like it, the media didn't like it. He was a kid in a grown man's world. Plus he went to the arguably the best franchise in the history of the NBA (sorry Boston fans!), with the fan favourite Eddie Jones playing SG, and with Shaq having the keys of the CITY and being dickrode so hard. He had Shaq being jealous of him (see Phil Jackson and Tex Winter's books) and litterally hating on him, and instead of collapsing, he had the balls to put the hate behind him and the develope into a starting SG first, and into the best SG in the league the next year. 3 titles, another one lost in the final. A totally different scenario, different history, def harder imo.

True that. Kobe is a 6-time All-Defensive Selection (First Team: 2000, 2003, 2004, 2006; Second Team: 2001, 2002)

^^^^ yep I mean the better scorers who plays guard or small forward aren't known for their Defense (James, Wade, Carter, McGrady, Allen...), that's one of the reason I think Kobe is way better than others becoz he can play hard on both sides on the floor AND a very few players can do that
