shit about Snoop to think about
« on: January 04, 2002, 07:57:42 AM »
I saw the dvd made by michael harris recently, and I was watching the part where snoop talks about his career, and he mentioned that he was originally gonna be working with Above The Law and Kokane instead of Dre, and that he decided to work with Dre instead of ATL.  How differently do you think the rap game would be now if Snoop had decided not to work with Dre, but with Above The Law instead?  I think it would be a lot different, since "Nuthin but a G Thang" would have never been made, and that inspired a lot of rappers in the game now.

Hrmm its quite interestin... i think even with ATL snoop wouldnt have come up like he did - my reason?

Take Deep Cover, The Chronic and Doggystyle away from Snoop... what do you have?

Dre's solo debut wouldnt have been called 'The Chronic'...
Dre would still have had Rage and Kurupt plus Bushwick Bill and the DOC. maybe Kurupt woulda had a bigger influence.

It's all about Faith... but Snoop still would have made it... he was recording songs before he met Dre with Nate and Warren... but since Snoop was friends with Warren and Warren was Dre's half brother it's almost impossible for them not to work.

If he'd have worked with ATL, he coulda ended up signed to Ruthless and woulda been 'the enemy' he coulda been dissing Dre. Dre hasn't worked with many ex-ruthless artists.. Ren, Kokane.. is that it?

snoop NEVER would've gotten as big without dre, he would be in he same boat as Spice 1 and Brotha lynch are in now, one of the most looked over artists

if he worked with ATL, he'd only've been about as popular as ATL....and that's not very popular at all

Jake I totally agree... without Dre... none of the rappers we speak of now would have been big... Dre started it all... Dre was already something before Deathrow... he just let the youngsters shine... and they did... and it was cause of his production and their lyrics

And weren't A.T.L. produced by Dre back then, anyway.
