When did Jay Z take shots at LL. I heard Canibus mention that, but when. And if he did, it's hella ironic that his on Def Jam now, a lable start because of LL, he is often compared to LL in the Nas beef.

"Jay-Z apologized to women everywhere for disrespecting Nas's baby's mom on his tracks"
...he has been forced from his mother.

Man, i must be getting soft, I actually agree with sugefight on all three points above!  Nas is very disrespectful, and yes, I've heard that quotea botu aliyah's plane, but it isn't proven if he said it yet.  #1 and #3 are true, though.

Thank you Trauma for looking at the issues.  I can hardly believe that people in here call me an asshole for starting this thread when  I think it brings up some very important things.  I really am sickened that Nas would write a song about America shitting on him--that is the most disrespectful thing I can imagine.

The fact that you all arent disgusted by the message and placement of the song disgusts me.

What's disrespectful about it?  What's really disrespectful is the way that America has treated a lot of its citizens... those of the lower class denominations.. as well as all the young men who went over to fight for America in vietnam.. when they came home they got shit upon... as does anyone in america without money or connections.  Is everyone supposed to put on a cape and mask and gloss over everything that's wrong with the nation all of a sudden?  I guess Chuck D and Public Enemy were disrespectful... so is Dead Prez and The Coup... oh and everyone else who ever said anything negative about America.... damn, I guess hip-hop in general is pretty disrespectful.

Damn..I hate ignorant peeps.  Anyways-Dead Prez are disrespectful--yes.  But the purpose of the post is not Nas' message, but rather his timing.  What kind of asshole would say his country is shit when his country is currently fighting for his livelyhood..for his ability to rap and speak his mind.  His country is protecting him and all he has to say is negativity and hatred towards it.  THAT is disrespectful.  Wake up~

I dont really have a clue about this Jay-Z vs Nas beef. I'm not into East Coast and i dont give a fuck. Plus this is a West Coast board, so.. let's talk about West Coast.

About that Nas-JayZ shit.. i dont know the truth and i dont care, but... to diss a man by saying that you wanted him to be in the same airplane who crashed and where Aaliyah died is so.... IMMATURE. I gotta be true and admit that i dont care so much about her (i mean i'm sorry for her, R.I.P.), but.. damn.. even if i didnt even know her so well (musically), it's always a sad thing to listen to some BS! I mean Nas.. you's a rapper. A lyrical. A poet. Something like that. To use this period to diss some1 shows only how moron you are!  :-/

No offence to all the Nas fans. And no offence to Nas too. I'm just saying that it aint exactly CLASS!

P.S.
Some1 wrote: what is America doing for Nas?

My question: what is Nas doing for America? Or what he did? If i know it right, he was just a damn fucking drug dealer. And he raps about guns, wars, killers, drug and shit. America? America (good guys) just protected his ass from terrorists. Real ones, not fake ones like him. America is trying to isolate him cause he's talking about a lot of negative things in his songs. He aint exactly a victim. A man who drives only in Benz and goes from party to party aint exactly a victim. Just cause he made 1 good album (his first one), this doesnt mean he did something for the society. And if you sell drug u aint doing something for the hood. You are doing something AGAINST the hood an against the AMERICA! And you dont have to blaime America. You have to blame your fucking mind. If they arrest you, you dont have to blaime America. You gotta THANX America cause they are doint nothing but cleaning the street from fools and ignorant victims drug dealers like you.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO.. I THINK THAT HE'S REALLY THE LAST GUY IN THE WHOLE U.S.A. THAT CAN DISS HIS COUNTRY. THE LAST ONE. Good topic! Good post. Props.

Oh.. and these things arent only about Nas. It's about all the rappers like Nas who talk shit about their country.

You bring up tha point about Nas's song,  my country,  how many have actually been through tha ghetto,  how many of you have seen real ghetto's,  I have,  i didnt live in tha ghetto but i have been through them plenty of times when i used to go to work wit my dad,  u look at it,  an ask yourself,  what tha fuck has tha country done for these people,  it is a hell hole,  tha cops in NYC are on a power trip an have been for a long,  it aint even a race thing either b/c they treat white people like shit,  just imagine how it is for a young black kid in tha ghetto,  Life is a hell,  that is what Nas is talkin about,  he was forced to go tha way he did an i dont blame him if he feels that way about his country,  sure he may have it easy now,  but how did he have before he dropped an album,  before he made a name for himself

You all go on about how you respect Nas on how he has spoken his mind about America and that you got freedom of speech and all, but SugeFight speaks his mind and you rip into him, thats his opinion and he is entitled to it,

I aint American so I wouldnt have as much patriotism about your country, but I mean life does go on and I'm sure Nas made those songs before all that tragedy on the 11th September, and to not release those tracks and make new ones thus making the album release even later would be a bad move, I'm sure Nas must have considred weather it was a bad move to release those songs on the album, but I guess he didnt want to keep his fans waiting, and if that is the case you got to respect how he feels for his fans,

The most disrespectful man in hip hop for me is Eazy E, and thats why I love that guy, dissing women, other artists and the police, way to go Eazy.........

Another disrespectful guy is Eminem, but isnt that what makes him a good MC, cuz he is hard hitting, I mean you couldnt imagine him singing about making love to women and shit cus that aint his thing. He is a mean muthaphucka with no-remorse and doesnt give a shit about anybody.....which is kinda cool.

I feel you Tom. Def. I know life is a bitch sometimes. Not only in the ghettos of NYC. It happens worldwide, trust me. Even in Italy. The only difference is that we dont have black people. But it's the same. Hell. But STILL i think the problem is very very different. I mean it's too easy to say "America aint doing nothing for those guys". I agree with you. Totally. But i disagree if you say that it's good to sell drugs. Or if you dont blame drug dealers just cause they too poor and their life's hell. You cant do this. U gotta step up, u gotta do whatever you can to escape the ghetto, or to live in the ghetto like a MAN. I know it's hard, BUT i know too that the drug is the easier way. Not the best one. Cause when u a drug dealer, u worse that before. You aint a star. You are wrong. You are in the sight of tha cops. You know what i mean? And you cant blame em. It's a good discussion. Very interesting, but maybe a West Coast Rap Board aint the right place to continue it. But still i feel you. I'm not saying the opposite of you. Or that you wrong. I'm just saying that, even if life is hell, to sell drug aint a good thing. You gotta be a MAN first. Cause you can MAKE you. Or at least you gotta fight to make you. Like a real MAN. I agree when you say come here and walk in a ghetto. You right. But still it aint a good thing.

About Warren G... do you think i like him as a person or what? LMAO! I know this shit. I just like his music. Not his life. Even if he raps about positive things and not about negative things. Cause he realized how bad is to bang. But still i'm not him. I'm totally different than him. I like his music. But he got his BIG mistakes too. Like me. And you. I was talking about Nas cause YOU all are talking about Nas.
