Who cares how many mics each album got in The Source and which ones are classics according to them. We, the fans, decide which albums get to be called "classics". And it can't be done over a week or two after an album's release, oh no. Look into Stillmatic or Blueprint or whatever album after, like, a year or two. THEN, if those discs are still in your CD player and you still can't get enough, THEN it's a classic. The Chronic, All Eyes on Me, Doggystyle, Chronic 2001, Illmatic and so on are classic albums 'cause people still buy them, people still listen to them and people still talk about them. A magazine can't say what's classic or not with listening to the album a few times. Only YOU can tell a classic, over time.

In all honesty, I think the Source has underrated far more albums then they have overrated. They are NOT good at recognizing classic material, as seen by the fact they've only give 5 mics to like 12 albums or some shit. But in reality, there are at least another 50 albums that didnt get the 5 mics but deserved it, including all the ones I named in my last post [except 2001]. But, here are some OVERRATED albums:

Hot Boys Guerrilla Warfare--4.5 mics [shoulda got a 3 at the most]

Life After Death--5 mics [4.5 mics is more accurate]

The Blueprint--5 mics [again, 4.5 is more accurate]

I Am--4.5 mics [this is a 4 at the most]

Supreme Clientele--4.5 mics [this is about 4 mics]

Bulletproof Wallets--4.5 mics [this is closer to 3.5 mics]

Great Depression--4 mics [this is a 3.5 tops]

Hardknock Life--4.5 mics [this is TRASH, shoulda got 1 mic]

Dynasty--4.5 mics [3 mics tops]

Im happy that Stillmatic got 5 mics, cuz lord knows, that album deserved it, but the Source cant hide their history. No matter much good doing they do from here on out, they will never be fully credible as far as im concerned, cuz they've fucked up on too many albums.....and too many great albums at that.

That just goes to show you that the Source doesnt know DIDDLY SHIT. They rated AOW and Resurrection higher than E.1999 Eternal........what a joke. I love AOW but it doesnt touch E.1999 Eternal by any means.

The bullet proof wallets that the source reviewed had the tracks taken off the retail version of bpw such as the sun, the watch, (original) version of flowers. Put those tracks on this cd and it easily deserves a 4.5 with tracks like the forrest, street chemistry and the hilton.
