Call me crazy, but....
« on: September 15, 2006, 10:02:18 AM »
I don't think "Regulate" is Warren's best record. Been in a Warren G mood lately, listening to all of his albums, and I found that I listen to "Return Of The Regulator" more than any of his others. His flow is much better, and he was on some really creative shit with the production. I may catch some flak for this, but I think ROTR is his best album.

Am I alone on this one?

you are not alone, I own all 5 Warren solo albums and Return of the Regulator is by far my favorite, although I really like all 5 albums.

ROTR is my fav as well, the sound quality on Regulate isn't up to par. I would have felt differently years ago though.

I really rate return of the regulator but regulate is a classic.

Nah, I wasn't. I was 11 when it came out, and I fuckin' loved it. I STILL do, as a matter of fact. I think "Regulate" is his only classic, but not his best album.

every Warren G CD is so tight when it comes out. But nothing beats Regulator. I think that it was his best CD, very limit tracks, and just his finest album.

You're not Crazy, ROTR is dope like all his 5 albums but Regulate is still my favorite (Recognize feat Twinz is one of my favorite G-Funk song ever!)

I was very young when Regulator came out, But that STILL is my fav Warren G record. I haven't been able 2 find "Take A Look Over Your Shoulder" so I had to download it. That's the only 1 I don't have, but I will some day. I do agree that people hated way too much on ROTR. Warren's flow was on point on that record. But, Regulate is my favourite 1 still.
