one of the greatest bands ever..... But why have all their singles recently had a california type tie into them? some girl at my school wrote a paper about it a year ago....anyone know anything else about this? she called it something like the california effect or something like that, i dunno...anyone

They've always had a California type single...that's probably because they are from California.

The singles "Californication," "By The Way" and "Dani California" all talk about the same girl named Dani California. She was initially brought up in "Californication" although she didn't play a large role in that song. She is more developed in "By The Way" and she reaches her demise in "Dani California."
