More shocking refereeing
« on: October 02, 2006, 04:18:31 PM »
Well this time it was the linesman making a horrible decision

Basically he is accusing of the goalkeeper handling the ball outside the area - clearly he doesn't.  Not even close.

Last weekend the referee aswell as the linesman made a horrible mistake in the match between FC Utrecht and Ajax. He gave a penalty for a 'foul' that was commited like 1 meter outside the penaly area. Everybody was surprised when the referee suddenly pointed to the penalty mark. Commentator was like 'wtf does the referee do now'. It was so obvious that it wasn't a foul, dont even mention a penalty! It gave FC Utrecht the chance to play itself into the game again.

I dont understand why they just dont use videoreplays, its not difficult and it only benefits the game.
