Italian clubs await final verdict

The four clubs implicated in the Italian match-fixing scandal will have their final appeals against their punishments heard this week.

Juventus, AC Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina have already had their original sentences reduced.

They are now seeking further cuts from the Italian Olympic Committee's Court of Arbitration.

All four clubs began the season with points deductions, while Juve were also relegated to Serie B.

Juve, AC Milan and Lazio will appear before the appeal board on Wednesday followed by Fiorentina on Thursday.

According to Italian media reports, the clubs are all likely to have their points deductions cut.

However, there may be a wait of up to 15 days until the Court of Arbitration delivers its verdict.

No they won't. Even if there's a big scandal going on about the fact they punished only us and about the fact Inter might be the club who wanted it. It's the Telecom scandal. You'll hear about it in a couple of days.
