Why were few particular states had to be the powerplay?

I mean...how did tenesesee, montana, missoui and kentucky determine who controls house and senate?

I mean we got Washington, nevada...and other 44 states...  I don't get that.

Well, anyway, Bush is lonely with his only pal, Cheney.

not all states elected reps this time. all the seats are on a 6 year term but there are elections every 2, so only 1/3 of the states had those elections
