What If? (Part 1)
« on: November 27, 2001, 06:26:05 AM »
THIS IS THE FIRST OF MY "WHAT IF?" THREADS

I GOT THINKIN BOUT THIS AFTER LISTENION 2 'FREDRO STARR - WHAT IF'

SO - I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE INTRESTING TO HEAR SOME OF YOUR REACTIONS/THOUGHTS ON THE WHAT IF POINTS I RAISE...

REMEMBER ALL THESE ARE HYPOTHETICAL POINTS

*NO ONE SAY - THAT AINT NEVA GONNA HAPPEN - THIS IS JUST FORWARDING WHAT IF SCENARIOS!
PLUS ANY I SAY (SUCH AS THE PAC ONE - DONT SAY THE OBVIOUS LIKE - "HE WOULDNT HAVE JOINED DEATH ROW!"

WHAT IF...

  • DRE WORKED WITH NELLY! (I.E. NELLY PAID 4 A DRE TRACK...)
  • PAC HAD DIED FROM HIS SHOOTING IN 95...
  • DRE HAD NEVER EVER BOTHERED LISTENING TO A 213 TAPE THAT THEY PUSHED IN HIS FACE BUT KEPT IGNORING...
  • EAZY E HAD NOT DIED OF AIDS...
  • THERE WAS A BLACK PRESIDENT...

ENJOY

peace

The First 3 Statements Would Play A Big Part Of Hip Hop Faling Apart. BAD THINGS.

The Fourth Would Be Good, Apart From The Fact Eazy Would Have Still Had Beef With Dre. And We All Know Eazy Wouldnt Let Suge Diss Him Without Eazy Replying.

And For The Last One, I Don't Really Care, I Dont Care If There Is A White, Black, Mexican, Asian Or Green President.

if dre worked wit nelly,  dre would lose a lot of respect
if dre never listened to tha 213 tape,  dre would of eventually went back to ruthless b/c death row would of never blown up,  i think some1 would of discovered snoop if not snoop,  daz,  nate,  warren,  kurupt,  an pretty much tha whole DPG family would be dead or in jail
If Pac died in tha 95 shootin,  no1 would talk about him being tha G.O.A.T,  biggie would still be alive,  tha east-west wars wouldn't of been as bad as they were.
If Eazy didnt die i think we would of had tha NWA reunion
If there was a black president i dont know what would happen

I got a couple more what ifs
1.  What if Dre stayed wit ruthless
2.  What if Dre stayed wit Death Row
3.  What would of happened if Pac survived tha 2nd shooting

1. If Dre Worked With Nelly? Hmmm, well it wouldn't make me like his flow, like his voice, lyrics etc......but i'd prolly cop it cos I like collecting tracks/LP's that Dre has worked on. Hopefully Dre would push Nelly, as he does with most artists he works with, to his FULL FULL FULL potential an' it would turn out as a decent track!

2. If Pac had died from the '95 shooting I honestly don't think he would've been the legend he is 2day. He wouldn't of dropped alot of his best LP's AEOM, Makaveli & alot of ppl wouldn't of gotten to know him or his music. As alot of his earlier work saw him progressing his techniques he wouldn't of been able to showcase his greatest & last stage in his music(his DR stage). With that he wouldn't of joined DR & I honestly don't think DR would've taken or gotten as much publicity & success as it did, even if it did still produce Snoop, Dre etc.

3. Well, this Q is unimaginable! lol. That would've been a real tradegy in regards of westcoast rap & rap as a whole!!

4. If Eazy-E didn't die of aids, hmm, I don't know if him & Dre would've made up but I would've liked them too, then there could've been an even doper N.W.A reunion, having the OG line-up an' all.

5. I'm assuming this means a black president of the US. Well that would be great, I believe there would be a big change in peoples attitude. I think there would be a more open minded government, & hopefully rap & the hip-hop culture as a whole would have an easier path in the future!

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

1. unless he pulled off a miricle and nelly rapped decent on there (unlikely) dre would loose mad respect

2. people would be ignorant to his catelouge of beautiful music like they were in 95'

3. the west coast wouldn't really be  a factor in the rap game Dre'd just be some cat from Compton hooking up eastcoast cats

4. NWA would regroup

5. nothing would change other than the fact our president would be a darker shade of brown

all of these what ifs remind me of a sweet song by Fredro Starr called "What if", its a song that ponders a lot of different topics and its very interesting and makes you think.
