Right, The Main Question Here Is
Who Actually Changed The Whole Hip Hop Scene The Most?
Theres Some Many People To Chose From......
Tupac
- Was Probably The Only Rapper Who Was A Household Name. People Who Didn't Even Like Rap Knew Who Tupac Was. Thats Respect. His Death Changed The Whole Hip Hop Scene. Hip Hop Had Becoma Life Threatening, Especially When biggie Was Shot Aswell. You Only Have To Look At How Snoop Dogg Went Safety Conscious When They Both Died.
Dr Dre
- Brought The West Coast Out Of Its Shell With NWA. Then Started The Career Of Many People Who Now Can Be Classed As Great ei. Eminem, Snoop Doggy Dogg, And Lots More. Plus There Isn’t That Many Producers Who Can Bring Out 2 Classic Albums.
Run DMC
- Sure They Might Not Be The Founders Of Hip Hop, But They Are The Founders Of Rap On Television. They Conquered MTV. And Not Only That There Probably The Only Band (Other Then Cypress Hill) That Has Ever Managed To Merge Rap And Rock Together And Make It Tight.
Eazy E
- Started NWA Which Was Of The Most Contraversial Bands Ever. I Don't Think You Can Call Him The Person Who Started Gangsta Rap. BUT, He Did Play A Very Big Part In It's Development.
Grand Master Flash
- Many People Say He Was The Actual Founder Of Hip Hop, Others Think Other Whys. But There Isn't No Getting Away From The Fact That He Played A Massive Part In Actual Starting Hip Hop Off.
Cypress Hill
- Yeah Some People Might Be Thinking What The Fuck? But Cypress Hill Made Latin Rap Mainstream. Sure They Weren't The Founders Of It, And I'm Not Saying They Were, But Out Of Latinos There The Best In The Rap Game. Plus Along With Run DMC There The Only People Who Can Make Hip Hop And Rock Go Together And Make It Actually Work.
MC Hammer
- Right, Wait! Before You All Go To Clown Me. Think About It For A Minute. He Did His Own Little Thing And He Made It Big. There Wasn't Anyone Like Him. His Mic Skills Weren’t Nothing Special, But As An Entertainer At The Time, MC Hammer Was The Best.
Notorious BIG
- Very Similar To The Thing With Tupac. His Death Didn't Just Shock Us The Fans, It Had A Huge Affect On The Actual Artists In Rap. And How It Was For Them Now To Live There Lifes. Anyway Striding Away From The Bad Things, He Was The Only Person To Take The Hip Hop Playa Lifestyle And Become A Chart Success With It.
KRS One
– Okay Maybe I’m Straying A Little Bit Now, But, KRS One Might Have Never Actually Managed To Become Mainstream, He Has Influenced Many East Coast Stars. He’s Been Around For Quite Along Time Aswell. Easily One Of The Best MCs Ever To Hold The Microphone And Is Lyrically Capable Of Anything.
No Limit
– Right, Once Again before You All Diss The Fuck Out Of Me. Let Me Explain, Why I Think They Had A Big Part In Changing The Game. Right How Many South Artists Are There Other Then Scarface Who Arent On No Limit But Are Tight Aswell. Your Answer – Not That Many. What I Am Trying To Get At Is They Practically Built The South. They Used To Run The Whole Game Down There, And Sure Most Of You Hate Master P. He Was The Best Buisness Man That Rap Has Ever Seen.
OutKast
– A Force To Be Reckoned With. There The Only People From The South Who Have Made It big And Yet Can Still Release Classic Albums After Classic Albums Without Selling Out. They Changed A lot Of Peoples Mind About Hip Hop And Showed It Was Only Just About Gangstas And Shooting Each Other.
Anymore I Missed Out?

N.W.A. - Brought a hard edge to rap no one had seen before by depicting everyday life in L.A.
Dr. Dre - Altered the landscape of music at every turn with his production talents.
Snoop Dogg - Brought a more cool, and relaxed feel to the game with his blunt raps.
Tupac - Changed hip-hop with his way of touching people with his deep and aggressive raps.
Eminem - Shut a lot of people up with his unique rapping ability. Some still hate but when it all goes down, he'll be at the top of the list.

2Pac--One of the greatest poets ever, and his amazing song writing ability has influenced countless other rappers such as Ja Rule, DMX, etc etc. Pac also started the double cd trend with AEOM. His impact will be felt forever, from his words alone.
Dr. Dre--INVENTED the G-funk sound. Nuff said.
Wu Tang Clan--Brought the raw, gritty sound that hiphop is supposed to have back [with their 93' debut].
Nas--Brought a new profound lyricism to hiphop when he dropped Illmatic.
Outkast--One of the few groups who have reinvented themselves everytime around. ATLiens is especially influential, cuz Southernplayalistic defined the southern sound, then ATLiens RE-DEFINED it out of nowhere.
Run DMC--Probably the most influential rap group ever. They paved the way for EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE.
Public Enemy--Along with NWA, they started hardcore hiphop and opened many eyes in the black community.
Bone Thugs N Harmony--Put midwest hiphop on the map. Almost EVERYONE has used their style at one point or another, and E.1999 Eternal is the album of which ALL midwest hiphop albums of today are blueprinted from.
Biggie--Brought a new special skill in story-telling not seen perhaps since Slick Rick. Check songs like Sombodys Gotta Die, Miss U, Suicidal Thoughts, etc etc.........

i dont think you can say one person changed the game IMO.. sure, you get the people that started it, bringing it on like NWA & Public Enemy into the gangsta rap world, before them you got Run DMC & Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, G Rap, KRS-One, all opening peoples eyes to hiphop, then in comes Snoop & Dre, then Pac, and now Eminem. Where one person stops with it, another picks up & runs a mile

Tha sugar hill gang, sure tha only song people remember is rapper's delight but this is tha song tha really started it all for rap, it was raps first big mega hit. Dre fo sho, I dont think i need to explain myself, eminem brought respect back to white emcee's. 2pac b/c you would have to be a fuckin idiot not to know who he is. NWA though there were a few gangsta rappers already on tha west NWA was tha first to blow it up. Nas, biggie, an wu tang helped tha east back on tha map back in tha mid 90's. Im surprised no1 mentioned ll cool j, another person that every1 has heard of either through his music or acting career, an also what other rapper has able to stay in tha game for as long as he has. Bone thugs b/c they put tha mid west on tha map an brought a new style to tha game, many debate 3-6 mafia started that style but it was bone thugs that blew it up.
