Serious Snoop songs

Murder was the Case
Up Jump tha Boogie
Me and my Doggz
Vapours
I can't take the Heat
Don't let Go
Dogs Get Lonely 2
Game of Life
See ya When I get There
Trust me
In Love with a Thug
Betta Days
Doin' too Much
I Love my Momma
True Lies
Go Away
Issues
I Can't Swim
Leave me Alone
Y'all Gone miss Me

And that is only the ones of his solo albums! There's loads more - Life Goes on, Midnite Love, Hoodtraps - Basically if you think Snoop has one serious song you have never listened to Snoop or you're a RETARD

Tha Last Meal is a grower...
I copped my shit the day it came out,and I didnt feel it at all.
Then it started to grow on me,and is in rotation almost always...

I can understand that younger hip hop heads dont like this album(ya need years of listening, start to listen to funk).

Its a grower...A "mature" album if ya ask me.

I still bang this album.

IMO, this album is the clearest example of his label's ability to produce a solid album.  It also clearly shows off his new level of independance... he put together this album using his own resources... his music... his guests...  his producers... It's all on him.

People often trash The Last Meal for Kokane being featured on many of the tracks.  I personnally think that his involvement made this album more unique and creative.  Kokane is a Vet (check your history books!) and alot of times, I listen to The Last Meal strickly for him.  It should have been called Snoop And Kokane's - Last Meal. LOL

Two tracks, dont nobody speak on, that's BANGIN...
ya'll should keep these in heavy rotation Pz:

Stacey Adams f Kokane
Bring It On f Suga Free Kokane

"But how can I be happy?  My hair is still nappy"(serious line from LEAVE ME ALONE,what a deep song!)

Another deep/serious song from snoop(from the list composed by JAY AY BEE),is I CAN'T SWIM:

"And niggaz wanna know about smoke Newports or Marlboros?
Man, I'm fuckin' wit' dat real shit, nigga can you feel dis'?
I make dat shit for the realest of millions,
While I'm wheelin' and dealin' and feelin the feelin',
Hmm... and oh what a relief it is,
That Snoop is back in dis mothafucka handlin' his biz,
Takin' care of his kids and makin' hits, oh shit,"

I agree Ax.

It's a very creative album and didn't recieve enough credit for it's innovative sound. Nowadays albums seem to just bring the same material and Tha Last Meal put it's foot forward and almost broke through that barrier and added it's own sound. That's why I like it because it's a unique and fresh sound I can enjoy whenever I listen to it. Yes this album needs to be playing a lot if you really wanna appreciate it, some albums don't need that, but this album is top notch in my opinion.

"Tha Last Meal" was and STILL IS a decent album. I still have it in my CD player but that's only coz I ALWAYS keep DR.DRE's beats in my system (plus, I have 50+1 Cds storage so it helps, I guess...) Honestly, the joints I like on that album are masterpieces in my opinion. But the others go from average to garbage. If you remove the surplus it's still Snoop's 3rd best release behind Doggystyle and Top Dogg-minus-surplus... But when it's all said and done, I'm still suspect of Snoop's present work when he ain't with Dre... Tha Last Meal should have and COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER if Snoop had done an album to satisfy his Chronic/Doggystyle hardcore fans (those who made the superstar he is), not himself... I don't regret buying it though (while I regret buying "Tha Game Is To Be Sold" and "Doggfather")...
