Give me a break niggas.

Dude coulda sat in his cell and rotted for years.  Instead he wrote some books that maybe saved some kids lives.  Forgive me if a blood don't wanna give in to your hypothetical questions about "what if it happened to me"?  It didn't, and I grew up in South Central and seen a lot of people grow up in this shit and die in this shit, from 8 year olds to dudes in they 40's and up, so I can appreciate him helping the lil ones.

90% of these hoods in a big ass race war right now.  People getting smoked over black and brown, not blue and red.  This shit is serious and big up's to the dead homie for steering some kids away from that life because trust me, it aint pretty now or ever.

I made my choice and I'mma ride with it.  Don't judge shit that none of you have any involvement in or understanding of.  Listening to Snoop Dogg doesn't give you the ability to judge a nigga's character or motivations in this world.

RIP Tookie.

Pres7, there are a lot of family members of murder victims who forgive the murderer, cause they realize, no matter how much hate you have for that person, no matter how much you want them dead, no matter whatever, nothing is going to bring them back.

Well, the fact that the nigga Tookie was used as an example by Arnold was pretty fucked up.

But then again, I realize this topic was sorta meant for black people to give a fuck about, and I don't think there are many on this board.  Gangbangers, once they got jumped in, are deemed hopeless by the government out here and we treated like animals.  Reform aint allowed.  You will be judged by that rag you got hanging from yo pocket from then on out.

Dude did some good, hate on that if you have to.

Homie, if I did that to one of your loved ones for instance (your Moms, Pops, Sister etc) is there anything in the world that I could do to make you forgive me?  Would you care how many children I supposobly "Help"?

he won nobel peace awards n shit.

Not true. He was NOMINATED for the Nobel Peace Prize, but that doesn't mean shit. You could write a book tomorrow, and I could nominate you for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Fuck that piece of shit. Pushing up daisies is the only good he's gonna do now.
Actually you can't be nominated by just anyone. There are specific people (mostly professors and poloticans) that can nominate you. And he was nominated 5 times, so it does mean something.

Anyways, I'm not going to commentate on wether he should've/deserved to die or not. So I'll just say R.I.P.

Exactly my point.  You should care because of the bigger picture.  Dude reformed.  I understand he commited (or at least was convicted of) a pretty heavy crime, but you'd be suprised how many people who've done the same or worse get lesser sentances and spend their time doing nothing.

I wrote on here because it being a West Coast rap forum, I figured there would be a lot of dudes from the hood on here.  South Central is a big place, but a lot of you seem to be overseas niggaz or from the Valley or some shit.  I don't think a lot of you looked into the case that much (but I'm sure plenty will google it right quick and try and put me in my place) but the bottom line is he spent 20+ years on death row doing his best to save little niggas from making the same mistakes.  Bone from Athens Park is commended often, but dude aint in jail, but I can guarantee you with his status the dude did the same or much much worse in his time banging.  This culture inspired most of the music yall listen to so the least you can do is understand it and respect the issues that arise from it.
