finally.. got my wii! (now with pics!)

only about 20 people at the store.. they only let people with confirmed pre-orders in.. about 20 people in total plus hangers on..

so i have a wii, wii sports (duh), zelda + tony hawks downhill jam.. and a lone nunchuck

"wii play" (and wiimote)  i have to pick up on sat.. so no multiplayer until then

oh and no component cable

tony hawk.. seems cool but will take some learning turning with teh wiimote

tennis is ok but dont see point yet, bowling i find boring..

playing golf.. quite like it! tricky though.. i guess thats what put people off

I like golf, when you get to one of the par 5 holes pay attention to the left side of the map because theres a little tiny fairway that you can try to land on and it leaves you with a shorter straight shot to the hole. Problem is if you land in the rough around it they consider it out of bounds and you're penalized a stroke and have to tee off again.

I'm interested to hear what you think of baseball since baseball isn't a major sport over there.

A game that comes with the Wii that has 5 different sports on it to show off the wii controller. Its pretty fun.

just tried boxing.. i really like it.. i thought i would but reviews lowered my expectations.. shits a workout though

Try hitting 96 MPH with a fastball. I tried for 3 hours and could only get 95 no matter how fast I did my throwing motion lol

I loved hitting and pitching, but then again I love baseball so it isn't very surprising that I liked it.

I havent' gotten it yet.  I'm most intrigued by golf and bowling, since the developers claim nobody has bowled a perfect game yet, since you theoretically would have to practice nearly as much with the wii-mote as a pro bowler would with a real ball to bowl a perfect game.  I'm hoping golf is gruelingly hard as well but we'll have to see.  My friend I work with just got one wednesday, he claims call of duty is bad-ass.

just got back from town.. another store had "wii play" so i've now got the 2 sets of controllers for multiplay.. picking my mate up in a few hours 

went back to the original store and swapped my "wii play" i was owed from them for rayman..

so the only thing i'm short of now is a component cable

Overseer is so fucking GANGSTA his works without the sensor bar.  He was just like "fuck it" and it (the wii), fearing for it's life, said "o.k. mr. overseeer, I'll do my best".
