Cashis & Rikanatti Make Their Major Debut
« on: November 25, 2006, 01:43:53 PM »
www.dubcnn.com

Going from dropping local mixtapes to signing to Shady Records, Orange County natives Cashis and Rikanatti are on the way to get their big break in the rap game. You don't have to be an industry insider to be able to tell that Cashis is one of the next MC's that is one step away from blowing up. The West Coast rapper took his chance and it's not too far away from being showcased to the public.

In the summer of 2005, Dubcnn put the spotlight on Cashis and his producer Rikanatti, known under the collective The Renegadez. Cashis wasn't lying when he told us in our exclusive interview that "Two of the biggest labels out are scouting us pretty hard right now. So hopefully we can land a major deal and release a couple more mixtapes and release a full length album."

What happened next was the major deal with Shady Records, which resulted in the duo being placed on the upcoming Shady Records compilation "The Re-Up" presented by Eminem. Even Slim Shady recognized his talent, as he gave Cash a spot on the album. We're not talking a single spot, but 6 tracks including 2 solo songs by Cashis (both produced by Rikanatti) as well as the lead single "You Don't Know" featuring Eminem, 50 Cent, and Lloyd Banks.

Dubcnn has one of the songs available for free download:

Cashis - Everything Is Shady (Produced by Rikanatti)

"Eminem Presents The Re-Up" is in stores December 5th. Shout outs to Cashis and Rikanatti!

I just read his interview on this site and damn this cat is funny style.  A quote from the interview ---
"I grew up on 78th 31 South Langley my whole life dogg, until I was like 17 years old. South side Chicago and I’m just letting everybody know. I didn’t even know that record was going to come out, we just put that record around the people in the neighbourhood in Orange County and I want them niggaz to know like I’m from Chicago and I’ll bust your face open. I don’t care where you’re from so that’s what that song is about."

He talkin bout leavin fools bloody in Orange County, talkin bout he's from Chicago.  This dude is a weenie.  He not from Chicago.  He's from Tustin, Orange County.  He ain't leavin nobody bleedin, he ain't built like that.  He ain't lettin nobody know he'll bust nothin. Straight funny style. That just ain't him.  He's an actor.  I like Em, Shady Records and all that, but they need to do some background checks.  He's a straight phony.
