I don't think it would fit 2pac's style. That's more for the Roots. Pac is taking all the place with his lyrics and stage presence, you don't notice everything else. When you got a band, you gotta give them almost the same amount of stage presence. Ive been to some roots concert and black thought was giving his band a big part of the show, but at the end it was like half the show was drum solos , bass solos and shit, that was cool for a roots show, but there is only one 2pac show taped ever, it's like 45 minutes of pac live, i dont want a fuckin guitar player doing solos and shit like that. Plus the beats pac was rappin on were not made to play live. Maybe a drummer, but i dont see how you can play 2 of amerikaz most wanted with a band, that's pushin's too far. This shit is club rap, in 96 2 of amerikaz most wanted was a club banger, it's seem strange today because gangsta shit like dat don't gets play in the clubs no more but in 96 that was the shit.

I was referring to ain't no fun and other funk soundscapes. and that's roots doing solos man, I'm saying for the tracks LIKE ain't no fun that CAN be reproduced live they SHOULD have been. last time i checked there were no guitar solos in ain't no fun.
but yeah with some of the pac stuff, just a drummer would have been cool. and I'm not saying there's no artistic value in it without live instruments but if you have rappers without live instruments to me it's either : a poetry reading or a party, but I don't consider it music.
