LOL, everybody had OU to beat Boise.  We had 37 people in our office pool and one person picked Boise.  True, Big XII is down a bit but nonetheless Big XII is a much tougher conference than the WACk.  OU has the best RB in college, Stoops has a National Champ under his belt and OU is a traditional football powerhouse.  OU took Boise too lightly, Boise was money on those trick plays and boom they win.  And it was brilliant to go for 2 because they knew that the law of averages would kick in and they couldn't hang with OU for too much longer.   OU has far superior talent.  They just got kicked in the nuts cuz they took their opponent too lightly, which they are really stupid for doing.

except at the QB position. That was as big a factor as anything, trick plays aside...

Yeah no doubt.  When they lost Bomar at the beginning of the season (who was the top rated QB coming outta high school 2 years ago) they had to go with Paul Thompson who was playing WR last year.  He did very well considering the circumstances all year, but it happens that he has his worst game of the year during their bowl game.  3 picks?  That's damn tough to overcome.

Real talk. +1. Thompson made some horrible mistakes, i mean horrible. But he did make some plays as well.
