Yes, I think so... he was on a cd called "Pass The Mic" and he did a verse on this... one of his most recognized verses...

THe verse i think BPG is talking about is his classic verse on Main Source's Live At the Barbeque....if y'all ain't know, this is THE classic Nas verse.  Get up on it...

Thank you, yes you are right, this is hit tightest verse in my mind... I first heard it on "I Am" and then I just had to track it down...

yeah nas is pretty weak on Salute me... i hate swiss cheese... check out Got Yourself A Gun and The Main Event.. much better new stuff.

Live At The BBQ is classic!

He's also got some other stuff floating around like "Life Is Like A Dice Game" from the radio...

The most popular guest appearance Nas had before "Illmatic" was on MC Search's album "The Product."  The song is called, "Back to the Grill Again" and it's blazin.  MC Search is a whiteboy and was in the group 3rd Bass back in the day.  He brought Nas into the game and mentored him through "Illmatic."

Infinite:  That 3rd Bass shit was dope, but it was Live at The BBQ that had the whole industry take notice with disbelief.

Serch only got some $ from the first album as far as i know...

yeah there's another pre-illmatic Nas track called "Back To The Grill Again" with MC Serch, Chubb Rock & Red Hot Lover Tone... it's ill.

as for Got Yourself A Gun and The Main Event.. they're new mixtape joints... very nice.. Got Yourself A Gun has a sopranos sample for a hook.. there's some other stuff out but these two are the cream to me...
