Actually at the time andro wasnt a banned substance then and he actually did catch a lot of flack from the media for that. And before anyone wants to debate how steroids werent banned back then, they actually were.  Thing was MLB didnt test for them but if some how you were caught doing them you got a suspension like Manny Alexander did.

But Merriman is said to be on the best linebackers in the NFL and you don't see the media jumping on his dick like they do on Barry's. I'm not defending Barry I'm just stating how it's bullshit.

There is no possible way in hell you can compare breaking one of the most cherished records in all of sports to being called one of the best LB's in football.  And another reason why you dont hear as much bull shit thrown towards Merrimans way is b/c you would have to be stupid to believe the NFL is steroid free.  Half that league is juiced up beyond belief but no one says anything about it b/c its just one of those things that is accepted.
