Quik's "Well" Versus The Remixed Version
« on: October 27, 2001, 07:18:31 AM »
"Well" was the third single off of "Balance + Options" and I thought it was a great choice.  Probably my favorite song off that album.  Although Quik released the remixed version that is totally re-arranged from what it originally was.  I'm not feelin it at all, the song is slower and Raphael Saadiq isn't on it anymore!  I think it was a bad choice, did Quik even remix that song?  Anyways, what do y'all think of these two songs, especially the "Well" (Remix).

It doesn't compare...this album is much more @ peace than his previous work of, "Safe + Sound," "Way 2 Fonky" & Quik Is Tha Name."  Though I'm really feelin "Balance + Options" because of songs like "Well" & "The Divorce Song."  Shit, that outro beat is even tight...go listen to it when the keys come in.
