If the Laker's would have won five more games last year Kobe more than likely would have taken the trophy.

Highly doubtful.

The sub 50 win season is what killed him, if he can get the Laker's to 50 this year he'll have a better chance than last year.

I think most people understand that's not the problem..

^^I know that typically players from winning teams win the trophy, but that's not at all a rule...Lakers were chosen to finish last in their conference by a good amount of journalists last season. The 45 wins on its own shoulda' won him the trophy...
