Yeah but what if someone wants to buy a record just to burn it because its worth buying to burn like Games new album for example? or a protest group buying copies of a certain artists album that they don't think is right and they want to get rid of it. Thats why i think artists comparing sales is dumb shit. It really depends on how good the music is.

If it came to burning it to a new cd to sell people d/l the music, not buy a cd and copy i reckon lol. Plus if they did that wouldn't then sales be reduced? Rappers don't count copied cd's since it's not from the store and stuff :p

and the fact of the matter is they actually sold 1,000,000 copies, it doesn't really matter what happens after the cd's bought. they did something right to sell that amount in the first place.
