In a surprise twist, Former Eight-Tray Crip turned Best Selling Author and Activist Sanyika Shakur also known as "Monster" Kody Scott has landed on The Los Angeles Police Department's 10 Most Wanted Gang Members List according to the Los Angeles Times. Shakur rose to national and worldwide fame for his best selling book "Monster" detailing his life as a gang member and how he was able to turn his life around. The book also encourages other gang members to do the same.

According to the article, the L.A.P.D. are seeking to charge Shakur with a Felony Assault & Car-Jacking Charge.

However, some close to Shakur feel that him being on the 10 Most Wanted Gang Members List is more "political" than anything else considering that he hasn't been an active Gang Member since the late 80's/early 90's.
