I am not 100% sure, because can't find the original track on the Internet to listen to, but it could be the track
The Supremes - Baby Baby on their album "Right on" (1970).

The lyrics match to that sample, and the sample does sound to come from an old track.
You should be able to get the track for a dollar or less on iTunes or some internet pay site.
