What you don't seem to understand is that I learned the same thing 15 years ago when I thought about becoming a Muslim. And I've had reminders of it every time I've visited Islamic message boards and seen Muslims on those forums campaigning to have the music discussion sections removed. All these years, the one thing that bothered me most about many of these people was how intent they seemed on regulating other people's lives, and how persistant they were. They're as bad as the fundamentalist Christians, as far as I'm concerned, and that's why I will never convert to ANY religion in my lifetime. Spirituality, I can be cool with. This, I can't be.

Regulating other people's lives is a regular occurance in Islam, more than other religions in my experience. Personally, I'd smash on this kid just to do it. You're a grown ass man, stop letting others direct you mentally.
