I listened to that album yesterday, and it is funny how similar it is to Tha Blue Carpet Treatment, yet people seem to hate on R&G so much like its a pop-album...

Co-sign both posts. I liked R&G, not his best but not as bad as it is put out there. Tha Bidness was a dope track. Rarely do you hear Snoop kill a verse like that any more.

Similarities between Tha Blue Carpet Treatment and R&G: The Masterpiece (i bought both when they came out)

- Both have a track produced by Denaun Porter.
- Both have some tracks done by The Neptunes.

- Both have some big name guests. (50 Cent, Lil' Jon for example on R&G, Dr. Dre & Akon for example on TBCT)
- Both have a 9 Inch Dix-track. (I'm Threw Witchu on R&G, Which One Of You on TBCT)
- Both have some tracks where Snoop puts his homies on, producing or guest-wise. (like Can You Control Your Hoe on R&G and Don't Stop or Candy on TBCT)
- Both have some veterans from other genres starring on it. (Stevie Wonder on TBCT and Bootsy Collins on R&G)
- Both have the same amount of tracks

and i can name some others, but my point is, both cd's are really connected to eachother and have much similarities, the one is hated (by almost anyone) though, the other is loved...

imo R&G aint that bad, its def not snoops best album, but its not as bad as some ppl claim it to be....

You right about that. I think what turned alot of people off were the singles he picked out. I mean drop it like it's hot was huge but signs and let's get blown was ehh to alot of people. Ups and Downs/Bangout was more the style most were looking for. It's funny because I don't see TBCT outselling R&G though. R&G is at almost 1.8 mil. I just think in the end both albums just have a little bit different of a appeal as far as singles.
