Tupac aint that well known now. People talk about him less now he's dead, maybe at one time he was huge but not so much now. Nearly everyone knows who eminem is, people saying old black folk dont know who he is but old white folk dont know who snoop is.

I'd say Em and Snoop are evenly matched. Although i'm guessing Snoop is better known in Africa...

On a side note, dam both Em and Snoop are Dre's proteges. I wonder if Bishop will get this big?

Tupac is the most known rapper, that's a fact. That's all because he's dead so he get that dumb "Legend-Status" overall. Every year the labels put out a "new" pac CD. But I don't think we talk about dead rappers, are we?

I would agree that Snoop is the most well known rapper in the world. I remember back in the day old white folks knew who Snoop dogg was. I remember when i went to a bookstore and asked the lady about the Snoop Dogg book, she was really old white lady and right away she said oh that Snoop Doggy Dogg book... Snoop is most popular because he is all over the place and so is eminem but i think Snoop beats him out...

Also Tupac is probably without a doubt the most popular  but he aint here no more so out of the living rappers i would say Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent

What an idiot, Eminem is the best true emcee mentioned in this thread. I think it's time you give that tampon a change. I'm telling you that people will always recognize Eminem, if not based on the white thing, simple beacuse he's sold more records than any of the others.

Not to forget Ice Cube. He's well known because of his movies. Even Ice-T is known in Germany, but most people here don't realize it's him, because they see him on TV overhere on that crime broadcast, where he's a supporting actor.
Snoop beats Eminem because of "Doggy Fizzle Televizzle". Everybody overhere knows that show, it's comparable to Pimp My Ride, most German people know Xzibit through that show. I dunno if y'all know that show, but theres also a show on MTV called "Be my..." I normally don't watch MTV, but when I was at a friend's house, he zapped to MTV and it was "Be my... ...Snoop Dogg" with a girl that wanted some guys to be similar to Snoop Dogg.

well the point is almost everybody here in Nigeria n most of africa knows snoop dogg easily and from way back too.a lot of cats still listen to all his classic even if they're not real hip hop fan.
Mum's around here knows snoopp dogg.
For example my mum n my sisters who doesnt care about gangsta rap will be like,he's too skinny,he smoke too uch weed  e.t.c,lol.
