I look at it like this. I live in a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri. There was only one other hip-head in my highschool. There were alot of people that listened to rap, like there is anywhere. But there was only one other person that really cared about the culture, understood the complexities of lyrics, and understood that hip-hop is really about knowledge..... and not just about sex, drugs, and violence, num sayin....

Anyway, so that makes me 2 out of 5,000 at my school, which makes me somewhat of an outcast. But then I come here, and there's 1,000 other muthafuckers like me. Not to mention it's a Dre/Aftermath/West Coast board, so it's alot of peeps that have grown up listening to the same shit I always have. So that's why I love ya'll and love coming to this board, peace

Well I visit here everyday, but dont post much cos I really dont know that much about rap, Im still learning, anyway this place is pretty goddamn hoooot, its a good place with some good peeps

I thought I actually knew quite a bit about hip hop... until I joined this board and realized I didn't know 1/100th of what some of you all know. Crazy knowledge in here. Like someone else said, it eliminates the need to surf several hip hop sites to find news. Props to Overseer, and anyone else who contributes to keeping this board alive. And props to all the heads that drop knowledge, and have helped answer any questions that I might have posted.
