MIRC HELP!!

I have a Mirc program but I have no clear where to go to get MP3s.  I know this has been posted a lot, but please help out!

Just Go To #urbanmp3 And You Should Find Out There.

b4 connected u need to choose what irc server ure going to use. You should choose random eu/us efnet than connect. Once connected there are lots of individual channels which have mp3s.
Try #rnsfiles
#revfiles etc...
and also #urbanmp3 which is the channel related to this forum.
if u get on and need help just go tclick on 'notify' tao 'Tools' (top left)
then down to 'addresses' then click on the 'notify' tab and in the space for ' Nick:' type ' stu22 ' (thats me) then press add. Now it will tell u if im online and if i am just message me for help by going to 'dcc' (top left) then down to 'chat '.

-I get into the MIRC chat rooms and people start listing all of these albums.  How do I actually OBTAIN these albums?

WillieDynamite, just let it keep trying and it'll eventually connect. if that doesnt work try changing your nickname to something else, something thats not likely to be in use already. Try this first and if it doesnt work hit me back.

ok SugeFight when your in these channels that have the albums being listed you'll see a message that says something like this:

To request a file type: "/msg mHQ|DCC26 xdcc send #x" **
<mHQ|DCC26> #1  58x [ <1K] Promo_Only_Mainstream_Radio_September_2001-RNS.m3u
<mHQ|DCC26> #2  299x [ 14K] Promo_Only_Mainstream_Radio_September_2001-RNS.nfo
<mHQ|DCC26> #3  43x [ 3K] Promo_Only_Mainstream_Radio_September_2001-RNS.sfv
<mHQ|DCC26> #4  1087x [103M] Promo_Only_Mainstream_Radio_September_2001-2001-RNS.tar

ok so if u wanted Promo_Only_Mainstream_Radio_September_2001-2001-RNS.tar you would type ' /msg mHQ|DCC26 xdcc send #4 ' and this will start the send or put u in a queue until they can send u it. So u replace the x with the pack number (in this case 4). The 'bot' name is mHQ|DCC26 and the pack number is 4. get it?

SugeFight; go to the icon second from the left at the top (the one with a hammer) thats the options. Click on that and then go down to 'DCC' and select it. Ok now do everything i tell u here....

select 'auto get file' in 'on send request:' part.
in 'if auto get and file exists' tick 'ask'
in 'on chat request' tick 'auto accept'
ok got that NOTHING else in 'DCC' should be ticked.

Now go to Dcc/folder
In 'DCC get folders' select 'default'
below that select 'ignore file type' box and type the following in there: ' *.exe,*.com,*.bat,*.dll,*.ini,*.vbs,*.hlp,*.txt,*.pif '
(that should help prevent ppl sending u viruses, but never open any file that u didnt ask for!)

Yeah and Bigg BpG is right once u get it working its excellent...irc is where the cds are originally ripped and theres hundereds of prereleases there...its the place the bootlegers and mp3 sites get there shit..and if its from a respected channel its always 100% cdq!

thanx fo`the help stu,

but it still doesn`t work. i can`t get connected, it always says either " connection timed out " or " no route to host ".

if I nearly get connected it says " no ident response " , but I already checked the ident in the options menu.

maybe u know somethin`, I would be pleased.

WillieDynamite, try downloading the newest version of mIRC and installing that. Maybe that will help because the default settings will still be set on the new version so i should work...if not im stuck.
