yall are some girls "ew, he should so shave...and look at his blue tee...doesn't he know there are rules?" Last time i saw a stand up comedian they were like "yeah man...I don't know about dudes in the LA area, ain't dudes no more. yall are metros."

shit like this is why hip hop is dead. In 95,96, we couldn't just look up Biggie's day to day life and criticize his every step.

last night I was listening to that song "classic" with kanye, krs, rakim, nas, premier and my friend was like 'i don't like kanye." and I'm like 'that's cool, he's not on the level of the other people on the track but he's cool, and his verse is good.' and my friend was like 'yeah...he's just like...really arrogant, really cocky..." and i'm like 'that's cool but I don't know him, watch him on tv or anything..I've just heard some songs and dude has talent' and I realized how fuckin' ridiculous it was. we're fed media imagery so often, our uninformed perception of artists we hardly know influences how we enjoy or don't enjoy their music.

my friend, who'd never met kanye in his life, was hating on Kanye's music because Kanye comes across as arrogant...we didn't get exposed to rappers quite like we do now back then...it was a different game.

anyway, is that his mom or something?
