facebook is pretty good, i end up checkin it almost daily.   its good for keepin up with everyone now that we're outta highschool.....people movin away or busy with work or whatever, noone has time for msn anymore. its sweet for gettin pictures too....you can just upload them onto your space  and everyone in them can download them if they want.
