New Warren G: BLAZIN'!!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: September 24, 2001, 06:51:18 PM »
I'm listening as I write this to the new WARREN G joint on the Clue show: it's BLAZIN', word is bond. It's one of those catchy ass DR DRE beats such as "Lay Low". CRAZY, crazy, crazy!!! And I'm not even a Warren G fan (don't own any of his albums) but he comes spittin' just fine on this, word... That's the way KURUPT or SNOOP's 1st singles SHOULD SOUND LIKE by the way, with backdrops from the greatest producer in the world to GUARANTEE sales (none os that "It's Over" or "Snoop Dogg Part 2" shit... Holla!! PS: n't know what kinda shape DRE's in right now but he's droppin' classics beats one after another, fo' real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

clue show?

DJ CLUE's show on WQHT (HOT 97) in NEW YORK. He was on the phone with Warren G himself who said, by the way, that the album drops Nov. something (I forgot...lol...)

Snoop Dogg part 2 was not a bad choice for a single.  It featured a hot Timbo beat, a hot video, and introduced the world to the "izzle" phenomenon.  As far as Kurupts video--well..lets just say it got more air play than any other kurupt video.  I cant completely hate--

This is reminding me of 1999 all over again. I remember that Warren G had a CD coming out, Dre had 2001 coming out, and Kurupt had Streetz...

Now Warren has a CD, Dre has The Wash Soundtrack, and instead of kurupt, snoop has the bones soundtrack... besides 1999, I cant remember any other time when this much good music was coming out,

p.s. Oh yeah, The Nate Dogg CD should be hot too!!

i havn't copped warren's new joint but its sure to hot as always with g dub. but what you said on snoops n kurupts singles i don't really agree with, they are business men n they want to put out something that will sell i didn't think much of whats my name part 2 in comparisont to the rest of the album but that video got played alot over here and on the radio and i think it did well in the charts too. and kurupt's single is probably one of his best moves the video is probably the most played kurupt video ever over here includion dogg ppound ones it got to number 2 on kiss's video request chart and is at number 4 or somink at the mo but in heavy rotation there n i've seen it a few times on base and i hardly ever watch tv so it is getting played alot n stuff its out this weel in the uk so we'll see where it ends uup in the charts on sunday. a good businessman will make songs for the radio so ppl will buy their shit.

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?

It actually eventually got upto #1 on the Kiss Video Request Chart  ;D I couldn't believe it! But props 2 Kurupt, he's actually starting to get well deserved recognition here.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

You have a good point, son. Snoop's 1st single wasn't bad, I gotta admit. I just expected a DRE joint the 1st single off The Last Meal with "Next Episode" being so big, u feel me? Now, that KURUPT joint/video gets a lot of airplay... true... It's good for the man but it's still a wack ass song, one of the most embarrassing of the year, no question. Do you know how much I argue with cats about Kurupt being one of the 20 nicest MCs ever in my opinion?!?! That joint had me shut the fuck up in front of hataz (and I'm yet to buy Space Boogie by the way)... I feel like they (Snoop and Kurupt) don't use fully their connection to DR DRE. Come on son, would YOU drop a whole album WITHOUT DRE if you knew him personally since 1992??????? Especially, when he calls you to spit some hard shit on his 2 solo classic LPs????? Would YOU only rely on Fred Wreck and Daz and whoever else when Bilal, Eve, No Doubt, Busta and others get sick joints from the doctor?????????? I'm mad at Kurupt, fo' real. He could drop one of the hardest shit in Rap (harder than Dogg Food and Streez Iz a Mutha) if he really wanted to fuck with Dre more than once in a while... That's my fuckin' point. Kurupt should be a platinum selling solo rap artist. And a DRE 1st single is the key to that. "It's over" ain't gonna help shit but make fools think that my man fell off... Got my point, dawg?
