Foesum - Perfection.......full of summertime G-Funk with the whistle on quite a few songs.....this album truely is perfection btw

this is one of the first albums that came to mind when it comes to that whiny synth g-funk sound! just listen to the song "Listen To The Sound" from Foesum - Perfection and you'll see what I mean. That track is tight and a perfect summertime track, it has the sound that makes you feel good!
listen to the sound was always one of my least favorite tracks on that album.

Great thread.  Def a major factor for me getting into West Coast rap in the early 90's.  It's pretty much a given that if a song uses this element I'm going to like it.  I don't care if I've heard it 100 times, I want to hear it 100 more.  More songs should use it.
