Yes and no. Daz was put on by Snoop, but before the whole Death Row fiasco, he was making a name for himself. He produced almost half of All Eyez On Me, was basically the executive producer of Gang Related and was keeping his name out there. Where he may or may not have been wrong was staying there as long as he did and not trying to get a deal elsewhere. But when he started doing the indie thing, of course you won't hear as much from him. But like I said earlier, he could have bitched and complained and not put material out after Death Row, but he stayed on his grind and created a company for himself. Now I may not agree with how he does business as far as customer orders and sometimes not giving the fans a finished product, but I respect his hustle. He just got to tighten his biz up.

I really thought after AEOM and Gang Related, Daz would be a top notch producer. My homies back then would argue even if Daz had better beats than Dre. Of course this was before we knew about all the mixing and mastering but even after his solo record RR&GB I thought he would be in high demand and it didn't happen. 2pac dying did not help either. Probably only 2nd to Johnny J, Daz was his favorite producer and they were making alot of hits together. He was in line to be the top dog with production in DR and then it all fell apart. Bad break but that is how it is.

I pretty much agree with this ranking except for So so gangsta. That was only half dope, but I know this wasn't because of Daz....This was JDs direction. I give So So gangsta 5/10. Glass was half empty. Also Raw was dope, but not a 9/10 I give it more of a 7/10 for me.

But you apart from slight differences in taste, I agree with this.

his first two are solid as hell to me. i can still bump RAW and even RRGB...the rest isn't bad but yeah I feel you....that so so gangsta was surprisingly smooth, but not addictive or anything.

I agree.  I'll listen to his album once, and then won't bother listening to it for a few years.  He's one of those artists that sounds better when he's on a group project or a feature.
