Selfishness.

And I don't think people have enough respect for one and another any more to even last in a group. Don't anybody wanna entertain, they just wanna make money. Don't anybody wanna make friends, they wanna make money. And just look at the beefin' now at days, that's how they are  makin' money. Every nigga for himself. Just like collaborations, people don't want a certain somebody on their track for a flow or respect but becuz they 'hot at the moment'.

Anyway, that's my opinion, who knows.

good topic... i have been bringing this subject up at various places ...

a good group gives you a variety on an album... you get something different in the songs as each member brings his styles to the table. Groups are good nurturing fields because, lets face it, a lot of artists have a hard time carrying a solo cd by themselves and usually try to fill that void with loads of features....

a good variety is a big part of CD replay value, which is why you can still bump albums by NWA and various good group acts over and over...

the draw back is sharing the pie as one stated earlier...
