Musically speaking, 2 kinda different songs:

Dogg Pounds was like a party track, that beat was upbeat with the riding synth and bass was straight fire.

Eazy's, musically, was kinda like a Parody of Murda Was Tha Case... if you listen closley to can hear that Eazy's producer replayed and slightly alterd the synth and straight replayed or reprogrammed the drums from Murda Was The Case.

In retorspect, I think the Eazy version is a lot harder, it's one of my all time diss songs.

But if you asked me in like 96, I prolly would have said the DPG version.

Both are SLAMMIN though

musically i like DPG's version a lot better, but i enjoy them both. i've always liked dirty red and i wish he appeared on more songs back in the day.

i like them both alot for different reasons, but if you ask who made the better diss...eazy did.

as far as Dirty Red goes...anyone have any solo albums/mixtapes of his???   or any info about them,

As a dis, Eazy's track was a lot harder and a lot 'realer' - he said shit that was true but that a lot of people didn't appreciate for years after.

As a song, Tha Pound's track is far tighter. Production, mixing, emceeing - all better on Daz and Kurupt's than Eazy's track.

That's for sure, great observation. Eazy, ironically, ended up speaking the truth...
