virtuoso:
Pearl Harbour was a staged event, they left the sailors in the harbour as sitting ducks, knowing full well the japanese would wipe them out. Yeah you are right, god another informed comment I don't think I can take many more of these deep responses.

Yeah, that's fundamentally the point of fascists: to prevent outsiders from performing acts of terrorism. At least (assuming you went to school) your classes in history and political science have served you well. ::)

--- Quote from: Real American on July 01, 2007, 09:35:35 AM ---P.S. Where exactly are all these Muslim countries where everyone is at peace? From what I see, wherever there is Islam there is terrorism.
--- End quote ---

Now you tell me each and every single one of the green zones is fundamentally filled with religious terrorism. There's shit going on everywhere in the world, but you read my words. I said muslims live happily amongst each other in most of these countries. That is, whenever the political situation allows them to.

--- Quote from: Real American on July 01, 2007, 09:35:35 AM ---No offense, but you sound like you have been brainwashed with a bunch of mindless, politically correct nonsense from the left wing media.

Thank God your presumptions are truth-based, and it's impossible for them to mislead you, into a pool of ignorance. Damn, I wish I were you.

Actually, what you've said characterizes nationalists more than fascists.  Nationalists (in the Western sense of the term) are people who are so afraid of their cultural heritage (usually based on race or religion) being diluted by immigrants that they become xenophobic.  Nationalists are not necesarily authoritarian or against Western liberal capitalist values.  Fascists are basically to nationalists what Maoists are to socialists - a more extreme, militaristic version.

Furthermore, some Islamist governments and militant groups are borderline fascist in many ways...ever heard the term "Islamofascism"?  There's a good reason that white nationalists in America and Europe have forged cooperative ties with Islamist groups in the Middle East recently.  Think about some of the ways in which Nazism and Islamism are linked...they're both anti-Semitic (obvious reason), they both view foreigners as a threat to the "purity" of their civilization (recall how Khomeini tried to purge Iran of "dangerous" Western influences), and they both believe that they have the right to fight an expansionist military campaign (jihad in Islamist-speak) to make sure that the rest of the world is free of influences threatening to their own.  Even Infinite nowadays tends to act as an apologist for Nazi Germany.

Two things:

a)Real American is a caricature. You know how Stephen Colbert acts like he's a hardcore Bush fan/Republican to be funny? Real American is dubcc's Colbert. It's all good.

b) Seriouslly, I ain't dissing noone, but that map did little to convince me Muslims/middle eastern people live amongst each other in peace.

I'm not saying we should outlaw immigration, but we certainly shouldn't be trying to make the middle east/Iraq like us.
