DJ Quik's "Way 2 Fonky"
« on: July 25, 2007, 06:04:06 AM »
Is it just me or is this a great album ? I just found it lying around in my basement and gave it a listen. I had previously heard one or two songs off it, but never the whole record. I have to say it's pretty awsome. Is it as influential as "The Chronic" ? Of course not. Is it just as great ? Hell yeah.

PS: I feel Quik will never get the props he deserves.  :-\

Just as great as the Chronic?  This is probably my least favorite Quik album.  Its got a couple of good songs on it, but its not even close to the Chronic.  Jus Lyke Compton is IMO one of the greatest rap songs ever, but the rest of the album falls a little flat.

Way 2 Fonky is a great album and is my favorite Quik album of them all....You can just put this one on and let it ride till the end without skipping...I still have the original tape I bought from the Slauson Swapmeet when it dropped.

Quik's worst album by far is "Under Tha Influence"...He had to be under the influence when he released this coaster/frisbee

LOL...U Mad? Fag
Fuck that fake ass crip Crip2nite.  Gets on my nerves how some people on these forums
