Disc 2 of All Eyez on Me gets way too much hate

I know this topic has probably been done a bunch of times, but I dont get all the hate for Disc 2 of AEOM. All I ever hear is "the second disc is filler"...thats all anyone ever says:

5.When We Ride - 4.5/5
6.Thug Passion - 3/5
7.Picture Me Rollin' - 5/5
8.Check Out Time - 3/5
9.Rather Be Ya - 4/5
10.All Eyez On Me - 5/5
11.Run Tha Streetz - 4/5
12.Ain't Hard 2 Find - 4/5
13.Heaven Ain't Hard 2 Find - 3/5

IMO, of the 13 tracks..there are 4 classics: Cant C Me, Picture me rollin, AEOM, Wonda Why They Call U..which is a personal classic. Of the remaining 9 tracks, 6 of them are dope as fuck...the only ones I've never felt are Thug Passion, Heaven Aint Hard 2 Find, and Check Out Time.

Its crazy the hate this Disc gets...if it came out by itself as a solo, I would rate is as a 4.25 probably..not a classic, but a dope as fuck CD. Combined with Disc 1 it makes AEOM a classic of course. Anyway, was listening to this over the weekend for the first time in a while, so had to give my 2 cents.

I never said the album gets way too much hate...I said Disc 2. It may not get that hate over here...but go to sohh, or allhiphop, or even when I talk to people they all say that the second disc was unnecessary, or it should've been cut off.

You should change the title of the topic then cause "hate" is a strong word.

dunno bout that man, all eyez on me in general is considered a classic, thats taking into account disc 2 as well. I cant fault one song on all eyez on me when you compare some of the garbage thats out these days....

Yeah.."hate" was probably too strong a word. Still though..I hear a lot of people say Disc 2 brings it down on a notch. Know what u mean on Check out time..never really felt it for some reason.

Well There are pple out there who don't like the Disc 2-that's just the way it is!

I actually listen to Disc 2 more than I do disc 1. Tracks like Thug Passion, Can't C Me, Picture Me Rollin, and Check Out Time are some of my favorites. I think one reason why I enjoy Disc 2 more than Disc 1 nowadays is that the first disc has all the played out hit singles which most people have already heard so many times. But either way, any double LP is gonna have filler no matter what. I don't think double albums are a good idea in general. It's rarely pulled off well.
