Don't get so caught up on his numbers. With Dub being indie, he's able to do the music that he wants, and the music that his fans want. A lot of cats have to sell millions just to pay back their label. Kanye had to push something like 2.6 mill on his last album just to recoup.Albums that are indie are on a much smaller cost scale. Video's, Production, Features, are on a smaller budget which I think is fan-fucking-tastic anyway. This isn't about the flashiest video, the big name features, or the producer of the week. It's about Dub droppin an album the exact way he wants. And yall should be happy as fuck about it. I don't even remotely fuck w/ the West Coast anymore becuase they've devolved into a bunch of wack ass bitin motherfuckers tryin to ride whatever's hot *cough Quik / Snoop etc.*But Dub I will always cop, because he's got one of the sickest flows in the game, he's makin the shit he wants and the shit he knows his true fans want to hear. So don't worry about him pushing big units - just focus on the music. So even if he only pushes 20k the first week, that will be more than enough to recoup anything and make some nice profits. He's already ahead of 90% of the cats fuckin with the major labels. And word, I can't wait for this album. Dub is one of the last real ones left on the West.
looks dope.. can not wait for this to come out

He is Cube, so he was going to have the die hard fans cop the album regardless and then some. I was just surprised they have not pushed a video to more outlets like a BET or MTV but they do have a good team over there at Lench Mob with Tony Draper and others. But like Jrome said, I am happy WC is dropping a album first and foremost and that he is not putting up with the major label drama he did almost all through his career.
Yeah I understand Luni.

But at the same, there's a way 2 do both really..Cube was independent and didn't really "force" any records on his album (besides 1 or 2, and it was a really really long album), and he sold extremely well

Beat wise it sounded like a generic compilation album, which did no good to the record. I hope WC's album isn't going to end up like that. The sampler sounded alright, but the (full) songs that I've heard so far didn't impress me.

The days of seeing great, uniform, production carried out on an album are long gone.
