I think Snoop just tries to get as much material on his album as possible. His advances of his albums are dope as fuck. Probably alot of the doper cuts are cut by the record label. I don't know, he always has 3 to 5 tracks like that, that don't make it.

imo Long gone would fit perfectly on the blue carpet treatment. Snoop wanted to go back to his roots after all the track is basically G-funk production with a modern twist; Mr.Porter did a good job.
