That was the first CD I ever bought. one of my favorites. Your so on point. A lot people here think that if you don't come hard, then you don't rap, but his music started a path that led to the snoops, the dres, the eazy e's, the cube's, pac's... if it wasn't for him and others back then,  it would not be the way it is now... and now Hip Hop is terrible... IMO it really is. His CD "He's the dj, I'm the rapper" is just one of those albums. I can listen to that album from front to back... from Nightmares On My Street to Parents just dont understand, even Jazzy's in the house... its a classic what they did back then... Will has done 7 albums... and even has 2 greatest hits albums out... I dont listen to him much anymore, but there is no way I can hate him... and just cause dre and em don't like him, doesn't mean I will.... he paved the way for them... they should pay some respect.

I like Fresh Prince the rapper.  I don't know who this pop music clown is who replaced him.  I also like Will Smith the actor.  Independence Day is one of my all time favorite movies.  I lost respect for him when he did down Gangsta Rap.  Not just because I like it, but there is also an unwritten rule in Hip-Hop to not knock the next man's hustle.  He doesn't have to like it, but why dis a whole Sub-Genre of Hip-Hop?  I'm not denying his music as The Fresh Prince was great, but it will never have the impact of NWA's Straight Out Of Compton, 2Pac's Makaveli album, or any of Dre's two albums.  All those albums are considred Gangsta Rap.
