I liked "Strapped", except almost nobody I know has seen it cause it was made-for-TV.

LOL..."Boyz N Da Hood" and "Training Day" are two different types of movies.

yes, so is Friday & Kids.

And "urban movie" doesn't have to be your typical hood movie.

Boyz N The Hood

Training Day

Now check the plot keywords.

how you dont consider training day an urban movie i dont know. the thread aint top 10 gangsta movies.

Main Entry: ur·ban
Pronunciation: '&r-b&n
Function: adjective
Etymology: Latin urbanus, from urbs city
: of, relating to, characteristic of, or constituting a city

yeah, training day, kids, boyz n the hood, and friday are ALL different genres, but they are all urban movies cause theyre all set in an URBAN back drop, none of these movies take place in the sub urbs.

I see "Training Day" as a movie from a cops perspective, so I'd consider it a "cop movie" ("Edison Force", "Beverly Hills Cop", "National Security", "Dirty", "Money Talks" etc.)...Almost any movie with black people can be cosnidered urban, but if you really wanna be detailed, "Menace 2 Society" and "Training Day" fall under 2 different categories...PeACe
