Father Accidentally Runs Over his Daughter in NoHoPronounced Dead At Hospital

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, September 10, 2007 (KABC-TV) - A man ran over and killed his 14-month-old daughter Monday outside their home in North Hollywood.

The tragic accident took place in the 6600 block of Camellia Avenue at approximately 7:20, Monday morning.

The father of the 14-month-old girl rolled over her as he backed his car out of the driveway. A neighbor heard the commotion and rushed to help.

She says that the family told her as the child's father was backing out of the driveway to go to work the girl ran out of the house after him. And before he could stop he backed over her and she died.

"I heard some screaming so I came out to see what was going on. I then saw that they had the little girl and she looked unconscious. Then we went inside and we dialed 911. The firefighters came and took her," says Idania Valazquaz.

Neighbors are shocked and in tears over the tragedy.
